VER+: Robust and Efficient Surveillance Methodologies

This project had as main focus the development and improvement of computer vision techniques to monitor environments through visual data obtained by a network of surveillance cameras. One of the main objectives of automatic environment monitoring is the extraction of information about human activities in order to detect interactions between agents and to identify suspicious patterns of behavior. The project also aimed to develop approaches to handle problems related to surveillance in order to reduce the impact caused by the propagation of errors along the chain of problems of interest and to increase the speed of the methods.
